This set of spring-themed decor is lathed by hand on a machine. Using two spinning points and sharp tools I carve the wood down to my desired shape, then add details with my wood burning pen and put a finish on it to ensure a long lasting piece that is sure to bring joy for years to come. Easter eggs are also lathed on the wood turning machine and then using my wood burning pen I freehand the design onto the egg. Each one is different- you may not receive something exactly as pictured.
Your choice of bunny only or with added egg. Wood type varies, but I often use maple, birch, hickory, and/or other wood native to our home farm in Michigan. I will use a lighter colored wood as default. If you want a darker brown bunny(as pictured at the back) just let me know!
Wood is finished with a wax/oil in an effort to prevent cracking, however wood may still demonstrate some cracking or warping especially in very humid or very dry conditions. To control this, apply regular coats of linseed oil, mineral oil, or beeswax polish and keep away from heat source or direct sunlight.
Size varies, but we aim for consistency when possible. Decide on your choice of bunny height as well as one or two Easter eggs, and I will take care of sending your new decor right to you! Customization available upon request.
