Handmade wooden hedgehogs, available individually or as a family. Family set includes 2 large and 2 small hedgehogs. Turned from solid wood on a lathe, then eyes and nose woodburned on with a pyrography pen. Dark finish applied to the back, and small hairs scratched out with an engraving tool.
Large hedgehogs measure approximately 4”- 5” long, 3” round. Baby hedgies measure approximately 2”-3” long and 1.5” round. Variations in wood species may vary, but we typically use maple, hickory, or other local hardwoods.
Perfect for the nature lover, or gift for the hedgehog enthusiast. Cracking or warping may occur in especially dry environments. May need additional coats of mineral oil, beeswax, or similar throughout the years.
